Valencia Street Circuit - Valencia, Spain

The circuit where the Formula 1 Telefonica Grand Prix of Europe will be held is a street circuit around the Juan Carlos 1 Marina, which was the base for the 32nd America’s Cup, the most important sailing competition in the world.
The layout will also enter in the area currently undergoing expansion from the city itself towards the port area and will link two of the great maritime avenues.
Under these premises a layout that guarantees the safety of the participants was created, that would not disrupt normal life of the local population too much, that would be completely sustainable and that would have a careful impact of the wellbeing of the Valencians.
With that in mind, the circuit will be set up and taken down on avenues and streets for conventional use and will be surfaced according to the indications of the International Automobile Federation.

Autódromo José Carlos Pace/Interlagos - Sao Paolo, Brazil

In the first twenty years of the World Championship Brazil had shown very little interest in motor sport. All that changed in the early 1970s when Emerson Fittipaldi exploded on the international scene. His success led to the inauguration of the Brazilian Grand Prix and the venue chosen was Sao Paolo - Emerson's home town.

The Interlagos circuit had been built in 1940 and consisted of a sweeping outer section with a tight infield - an unusual concept in its day.

At just shy of five miles in length the circuit was also one of the longest tracks on the calendar. Located just a few miles from downtown Sao Paulo attendances have usually been enormous especially in the boom years of Brazilian racing.

The fact that the track was built within a natural amphitheatre has resulted in spectators being offe red an excellent view of more than half of the circuit, regardless of where they sit.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca - California, USA

The Monterey Peninsula's love affair with world-class racing traces its beginnings to the inaugural running of the Pebble Beach Road Races in 1950.  Those sports car events quickly outgrew the public roads of the Del Monte Forest and a beautiful new road facility was born on November 9, 1957.
Since then, Monterey has been visited by some of the most prestigious racers in history; Roger Penske, Dan Gurney, Parnelli Jones, Kenny Roberts, Bobby Rahal, Wayne Rainey and Valentino Rossi to name a few.  The late 60's and 1970's may be remembered as the "Can-Am Years," but it was also the debut of Trans Am, IMSA and AMA motorcycles.  CART Indy Car racing and Grand Prix Motorcycling put their stamp on the track in the 80's and 90's.  More recently, the huge evolution MotoGP has created a phenomenal global following for the track.
Today, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca hosts five world-class race weekends each season, with elite road racing series from around the world visiting the Monterey Peninsula every year.

Silverstone Circuit - England

Silverstone was opened as a World War Two airfield in 1943, near the leafy village of the same name. Once the war had ended in 1945 Britain was left with a number of redundant airfields but without a major race track Donington Park was still a military vehicle storage depot, Brooklands had been sold off, Crystal Palace was in a state of disrepair and Brands Hatch was still under-developed.
The Royal Automobile Club was interested in Silverstone as a potential site and approached the Air Ministry in 1948 and a lease was arranged. At this time the centre of Silverstone Circuit was a farm producing cereal crops and also a piggery so the RAC employed farmer James Wilson Brown to create the first Grand Prix circuit at the site and gave him just two months to build it.
